After being a loyal customer for over 30 years, I insured my daughters grad-gift new car with them and paid 6 months in advance.Then 3 months later, her car was rear-ended and the other party admitted fault. We filed a report with State Farm the moment it happened. Then nothing....no calls....no letters....no evaluations. My agent, Jewel Bourne, kept sending me emails and telling me not to worry that the processing was taking a long time. Turns out Jewel had filed my daughters information wrong with State Farm underwriting. Wrong sex, wrong living accommodations, and wrong address....all of which affected the rate adversely and the policy had been cancelled. The notice went to the wrong address, filed by Jewel, and my agent NEVER notified me. Had another State Farm agent here look into the filing and they said they had never seen so many errors in a policy...."no wonder you got cancelled, but your agent should have notified you." Frank Wilson, personally, said he would step in and take care of me with State Farm, seeing as I had been with him for over 3 decades. Yesterday he told me that he wasnt involved and I would have to pay the extra damages. Basically..."take a hike". All of this is true and I have emails to prove it. Headed to court as soon as I get back to LA and meet with my attorney.
