Collection Bureau of America - Hayward

Karl Holzenthal CBA trying to strong arm me into paying over $200. I was notified by a local water company (Kentwood) about four weeks ago that after four years I owe them money! No explanation no physical bill via mail to explain just emails and text! How can you ignore a past due bill for FOUR YEARS? Then without any notice they send it to collection! Now Im guessing they are going to report it to the credit report companies. SCAMMERS!!!

Prestige Pawn - El Centro

Brendan Bargmann Theyd only accept actual cash, so 1) super inconvenient, 2) hard to see why except for tax fraud lol

OneMain Financial - Chico

Christina Chicoan3 The staff at One Main Financial in Chico are awesome!! Jon was so helpful, knowledgeable, guaranteed a quick response, and overall very friendly. He was very pleasant to get a loan with and had great communication during the entire process. Thank you Jon for taking the time to make sure my personal loan worked out and making it a smooth process. Keep up the great work. I highly recommend getting a loan through this company!

Freedom Cash Lenders - Lakeport

Mar V A couple of years ago I borrowed from these guys. They struck me a pretty unprofessional then but I paid off the loan and forgot about them. Then I was contacted by a collection agency in Chicago--another really lax outfit. Part of their complaint was that they had not been able to contact me. I have not changed contact information in 11 years--so that was the big clue that these guys are bogus. I challenged them and sent them the evidence of the payoff. They would not stop even when I asked them to return the loan to the client. I contacted Freedom and sent then the documentation. The collection agency persisted. So this is simple--I sent the information to the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation. It was accepted so I will let them work it out. Use these guys at your own risk.
