1 /5 Cam DeCock: Accident occurred 10/24/21. I have had to go through 2 separate insurance agents (Jacob & Maria) after the first agent allowed my vehicle to sit in the auto body shop for 2 weeks without approving the appraisal for damages. It was then deemed totaled and CIG did not want to retain the vehicle, so they tried to force it on me saying "its their policy," and I would have to pay them over $2,000 so that I could retain a vehicle that I did not want. Luckily my mechanic knew how it should be handled and ended up having to go around the Insurance agent (because they refused to answer) and called their supervisor to discuss. My mechanics said theyve never dealt with insurance agents like this in the 30 years theyve been open. I refused CIGs "policy" and CIG only started to cooperated when an attorney was mentioned. It is 1/4/22 (2 and a half months later) and I still dont have my vehicle or a check from CIG. They only offered a rental car while my car was "under repair" so I have been without transportation for a few weeks. Their process is made to drag on and make you work for the money that is owed to you. They dont answer phones directly - only to email and voicemail. Phone tag is their favorite game. Would never recommend to anyone. Almost criminal. Tried to steal $2,000 from me and make me do the work to get rid of the vehicle. No thank you.
