5 /5 Matthew Neal: Barrys office handled two evictions for me efficiently and cost effectively. The office runs as well oiled machine with the processes and procedures. They were effective in setting expectations and communicating with me. Having used another attorney for evictions in another county, their store of knowledge and prices are an excellent resource to those in need of their services.

1 /5 Edward Gatica: After paying $175. For a phone consultation and $500 for a single court hearing date. Nobody showed up at 8:00 am my scheduled court time. At 8:45 still no call or response from anybody after roll call. Then at the last minute they had a lawyer who isn’t associated with O Conners office represent me. For a whopping 20 minutes or less. This law office is very unprofessional and even after calling back to complain about it they never responded back to me. Don’t hire this law firm!

This client approached us very frustrated after he had his unlawful detainer case pending for almost a year and he could not get his tenant out. It was a problematic case as he filed the case himself and accepted payments after service of a notice to terminate. The defendant filed multiple post judgment ex parte motions trying to remain in possession of the property. The client came to us and wanted to put an end to it. We gave great advice and our representation led to the desired outcome in court. The client now has possession of his property. This client spoke of me not appearing in court personally and just sending in a random attorney. The attorney who covered the hearing is a veteran and experienced attorney who has covered 10s of thousands of cases over his many years in practice. His professionalism speaks for itself and I only get the highest compliments regarding his zealous advocacy and wonderful customer service that he provides my clients day in and day out. He has been an associate attorney at my office for many years. The morning of the hearing, he checked in with the court timely at 8:00AM. The clients appearance was not necessary as no witness testimony would be taken. The attorney was unaware that the client was going to attend the hearing so despite arriving at court prior to 8am and checking in with the department clerk timely, he did not make contact with the client until closer to when the case was called. The Judge in this courtroom does not call the 8am calendar until approximately 9:30AM. This case was not called until around 10:30AM. This was a contested motion; one of many that have been filed by the defendant in this case. The case was handled diligently and professionally and we received the requested and desired result from the court that day. This defendant will not be filing any additional motions in this case and the client will not have to waste anymore time in court on this case. For this, the client expressed gratitude to the plaintiff as he left the courtroom. That is why the negative review of my office came as a surprise. --
