1 /5 Ben Coleman: Two days after I paid my policy in full they cancelled it! In the early days of the pandemic! I begged them to extend the cancellation so I could have a few shingles replaced on my roof (that they were complaining about); they refused saying I needed to show them a contract to replace the entire roof! My roof isnt that old, and doesnt need replacing. I have a guy replace a few shingles every year. The wind here is awful, but I dont need a new roof. To make matters worse, when they "refunded" my premium, they deducted a whole bunch of charges from the refund. Id say thats pretty dishonest of them.
TLDR They cancelled my policy during the pandemic and then deducted a bunch of fees from my refund.
Would you trust an insurance company that does business like this?
