Cheney City Utility Billing - Cheney

Barbara St John I want to give a big shoutout to Dina who works in Cheney Utility Department. My son and his roommates share their Utility service sine September of 2023. They are almost finished with their sophomore year at EWU. I decided to pay their Utility bill every month for them to reimburse me, and thats been working out great! However, this month, the their Utility bill came out of my account; however, I was notified by text one day after the due date that their Utility bill was late and there was a late fee on top of it. I was in disbelief! I called the Utility Department and spoke to Dina. She confirmed the text that they didnt receive the payment. I immediately called my Billpay company. The Billpay was sent by a check to Cheney every month, but this month it was lost or was delayed in delivery. I frantically called my son to go in person to pay that day which he did. Dina empathize with my son and Kindly waived the fee, and flagged the account in case the check showed up to call me to let me know. Surely enough, a couple of days later I received a message from Dina to call her. When I did, she shared with me my Billpay check came in. I so appreciated her going above and beyond to call me. Thank you so much for giving me and my son your benefit of the doubt and working with us! We take pride in our integrity and responsibility!
