5 /5 Jasmine Kindelspire: I had an awesome experience with Burnetts insurance.. I attempted to get auto insurance online from every provider you could think of after finding out my current provider, Geico, had canceled my policy a few months before from a technical glitch. Because this glitch caused me to not have insurance for two months, every insurance company, including Geico, wanted a six months down payment upfront to renew. I found that to be absolutely ridiculous.
I spent several hours trying to find an auto insurance provider that would accept a monthly payment plan because I’m in between jobs at the moment and can’t afford six mo upfront. I couldn’t find one provider that offered that, and if they did, it wasn’t with a reputable company. The terms of the insurance were really bad and every plan was well over $400.
I drive a lexus and still make payments on my car, I wanted decent insurance without paying an arm and a leg, My previous policy with Geico was $330 a month, which I still thought I was overpaying for.
Someone recommended that I call a local broker. Aberdeen isn’t local to me, but it’s near my hometown. Brunetts was the first company I contacted. I spoke to Marsha, who was very knowledgable and friendly. I explained the issue. She said she could find a provider without the six months down payment. She found a policy for me with Progressive. What’s funny, I already tried to apply for Progressive online, but the six month down payment was a requirement. The plan would’ve also costed me around $550 by doing it myself through progressives website, and or, online affiliates.
However, through Burnetts, Insurance, I was offered a policy with Progressive without the six months down payment and it was only $164 a month for full coverage. . I saved over $150 from my previous insurance plan with Geico and several hundred dollars from doing it myself directly online. That’s a crazy difference..I’ll never shop online for auto insurance again. I highly recommend Burnetts Insurance and plan to only use them moving forward.
