1 /5 Therese Madrigal: Nooooooo! I spent 3 unnecessary hours with Bob in March 2025 trying to keep him focused on filing my 2024 taxes instead of telling stories about his life and business acumen. Left without taxes being completed and a draft filled with errors, incorrect and missing information. From forgetting to include the suite # in my address, inputting a dollar amount in the wrong place and taken from the wrong box on my W2, to leaving off my largest business deduction, my taxes were a complete mess. After discovering this and making the corrections, I filed my own taxes online and cancelled a follow up appt with an email explaining exactly why. Never received a response, but did receive a bill for $385(!) on May 9, already in the 31-60 days past due category. Despite an immediate phone call and 2nd explanation of why I will not pay for services not rendered, I was told that Bob "remembered that I didnt like his draft..." and was offered a reduced invoice amount of $185 as a "consultation fee." Um, no. I was then threatened with collections. I received a 2nd invoice on Aug 9 with an additional finance charge of $18. Now that youve been warned, Ill get back to writing these formal letters of complaint.
