5 /5 Bart Lee: I have to say there is more to TFA than Matt Falt!
In 2024 I spoke with Jason Sullivan going over an introduction to Texas Financial Advisors. At the time I was not looking to completely alter the majority of my my retirement to a new fiduciary. Jason put me at ease enough to take a meeting with James Carlson.
We spent a significant time on Teams meetings as well as meeting in person to come up with a well thought out plan. I had been riding Edelman Financial Engines and just going with the flow for over a decade. Both James and Jason listened to my concerns with the economy and how I was willing to make less interests, but not lose money. Edelman never provided this type of detail. When they reviewed the International Funds they quickly pointed out I was still invested in countries that were still in a downward spiral. They presented a plan keeping me diversified, but focusing on areas less volatile.
In October James suggested I move funds to a more conservative option out of concerns with the likelihood of tariffs, but the money would still double in 10 years. I was hesitant to step away from the double digit 15%-18% interests rates we had all been seeing for years, and I am so glad I trusted them. I am currently up $150k that I would have lost (on paper) had I remained with Edelman.
While I have friends freaking out looking at their savings I can breathe easy. James helped me determine that I currently had enough put away to live my current lifestyle and still have funds to pass on in death. Having James Carlson to spend the time to listen and plan my future is great.
I also had money at Edward Jones and their fees are double as what I am seeing at TFA. I am now in the process of moving those funds to TSA as well.
I wanted to wait a while before posting a review to be sure I was getting actual results and not just another smooth talker. James and Jason have backed up what they predicted. They earned my respect so now I feel safe recommending to friends and family.
