1 /5 Kari Brownwell: Just witnessed him lie on his client to the jury, stating that his client had never gotten any tickets in his life, no DWI’s. Was able to view more than one prior case on Hunt Co.’s website for his client - 1 being a traffic ticket of some sort, and also a DWI. Smh

1 /5 Jim Natso: He needs to retire. He was court appointed Constantly threw me under the bus with judge aiken. Didnt know who i was or what my name was even tho he had seen me 6 times already. Vt didnt care about looking into My case to see if there was any wing doing by the police and didnt care that my fourth amendment rights just been blatently violated Everytime he got in front of the judge to talk for me he suffered A fit of alztimers . I had to hire another lawyer after he promised me ten years if i went to trial for possession under 1 gram. Then he charged me 3000 dollars court costs after i hired another lawyer for half that and i had to plea out because he had done irreversible damage to my case. I couldnt believe anything he was telling me I was not guilty but had to take five years of probation and nearly died while in jail from resting the spoiled meat and drinking bleach water from the faucet. James Smith is ok or a person and seems passionate still about practicing law but Smith Gilley and judge Aiken are 2 ppl asking with the caddo Mills corp. Cope police who stalk customers at 10 pm at the pilot with their lights off and invent crimes and have fake lab results printed up on their police department printers to pretend in discovery and when i asked for a copy and what exactly it said i was denied. And denied right to have said substance tested by my own lab. Disgusted with the corruption in this county and the egos of these DAs and judges. Ive lived here all my life and settled down and had My life on order and never hurt not a single person. I mind my own u hear and keep to myself and i dont judge one damn person or hold myself to be better than anyone. Hire Russell brookside brooks from the jump its sad that hes the only one to lic. To practice law out here that can do anything for an innocent person with a history. This county needs some me faces that actually care about practicing law and helping ppl not just doing who they can get away with conv. And sending to Safp that they own and or have financial interest in and demanding unrealistic guidelines and charging unreasonable amounts of money to have further human rights be violated

1 /5 Dillon Scarbrough: Spoke briefly with the attorney about a situation where I was the victim.... consistently was interrupted. Was unable to get any information out and I was given the DA phone number then hung up on. Definitely would avoid at all cost

5 /5 Jeff Rogers: Smith represented me in 1974 after I been arrested for possession of 4 ounces of Marijuana. I had a co defendant who claimed the pot was his. I was acquitted of the charge after a 4 day trial. As far as I know I was the first person in Hunt County to beat a pot charge. Im forever thankful to Mr Gilley because had i been found guilty of this charge I faced 10 years in prison. Luckily it took me only 12 months to pay off my legal bill and then I moved back to my home state of Kentucky. My co defendant never went to trial in spite of his confession to the police.
