Larry made sure I always knew what was happening, what was expected to happen next, and how we would approach each specific issue that might arise as we went through the process. In the end, the DAs office spent three years threatening to try me, and offering a frankly ridiculous plea deal (not that I ever entertained it), before dropping the charges when they realized (with some prompting from Larry himself) that they didnt have a case and probably should have saved us all the time and stress by looking at it properly much earlier. I was very lucky to have Larry in my corner: He knew his stuff, he knew the people who would be potentially trying to prosecute me, and he made sure he knew me and the details of everything that occurred. I didnt have to go to trial, in the end, but I was confident we would have won even if we had, because Larry had covered all the bases and already knew what he needed to say in court.
