1 /5 Ted Hunt: I’ve never reviewed an insurance agent before, but Carson Kelly is a comedy of errors. He set me up for homeowner insurance over the phone and email, but when I informed him he had the wrong mailing address, he was unable to change it. Then the company he set me up with, American Modern, stopped drafting my account without notice or warning. Their representative claimed they had never drafted my account yet I have the bank records to prove they did. All this resulted in three claims not being paid. Carson never did his due diligence as an insurance producer making me aware of problems with the insurance company.
Then to make matters worse, when I asked him to requote the policy, he twice in one day quoted the policy for my mother’s home in instead. He is not her agent. His quote has her home built in 1939. It was built in 2014. The quote has nothing to do with my house or even my mom’s house as my house was built in 1936. He literally just made up the numbers. He and the company.
As a licensed agent with binding authority he is legally synonymous with the company, but he acts as if they are the bad guys and he can do no wrong. This is the most irresponsible and careless agent with which I have ever dealt. I will be finding a new agent tomorrow.
