1 /5 Jim Howlett: BEWARE I hired Ms. De La Garza to represent me in a civil case. Her fee was $5000. She required the entire amount before filing my case, which I paid in full. I also provided the documentation she required within the first month of hiring her. She was difficult to reach and went 4 months without responding despite, many attempts on my end. After a year of her doing absolutely nothing on my case, I filed a grievance with the State Bar of Texas. The panel found that she was NEGLIGENT in her duties and she was sanctioned by the State Bar. I did receive a partial refund from her but am still out $3928 for NOTHING! BEWARE!
