5 /5 Richard Bennett: I would like to thank attorney Bill Kennedy for the recent service he provided for our sons legal defense. Bills name came to us from an attorney friend who actually used to work for the County District Attorneys office and who further had worked on the opposite side of multiple court cases being defended by Bill Kennedy AND who had formed the opinion that Mr. Kennedy would be his top choice in terms of providing legal defense should the need ever arise based on Bills quick action, his thorough knowledge of the law, his superior and aggressive negotiating skills, the rapport and respect that he has earned with the judges and district attorney, and his genuine interest in providing the best legal defense for his client.
I found Bill to be personable, friendly, informative, and confident in his ability to bring about the best outcome that the law would allow. Although I do not condone any of the behavior nor bad choices that my son had made leading to his arrest and time in jail, like many parents, I could also see that our son was a generally a hard worker and a decent human being who needed help at being offered a second chance to get back on the right track. What I learned from Bill was that he doesnt sugar coat the situation nor make any promises on the outcomes, yet I felt at peace with a confidence of sensing that I had hired the right person for the job.
Bill was able to expedite a court date within a few days vs. being confronted with the original uncertainty of knowing when a court day might be scheduled beyond the first 30 days of confinement. Although the outcome still involved serving additional jail time, as it should be, the number of days to be served was significantly reduced with Bill negotiating a work release program allowing time to be served to occur only on weekends freeing my son to return to work and keeping his job.
This whole ordeal has been a growing/learning experience still in progress for our son and our family which could have easily turned into a disheartening situation, but again, my thanks and gratitude goes out to Bill Kennedy for the work and quick results which transpired and which I am certain would have yielded less favorable outcomes had I chosen the wrong attorney. I subsequently called my attorney friend to thank him for the wise referral.
Thank you Bill,
Richard B.
