1 /5 Pam Oliver: I love banking with Huntington. However, my experience at this White Oak Branch has been very poor. Both times my husband and I have gone to this branch to add my husband to my account, my interaction with the same teller has been horrible. We’ve felt very unwelcome. From the moment we walk in, we received looks as if we aren’t wanted in the bank, and immediately, we felt uncomfortable. The first time we tried adding my husband to my bank account, he asked me for my id and bank card. I produced both, but because my licensed was expired(I didn’t realize this) he smirked and said I can’t add without a valid Id. I questioned it because again I clearly have a Huntington account because I have a bank card. The picture is clearly me.
Today my husband and I came back with our kids. We walk through the metal detector separate times and wait for someone to allow us in. Their door system is confusing to say the least, and none of the other branches I’ve been have their security system. The same guy who serviced us the first time looked up in disgust at my family. He rolled his eyes and slowly walked over the microphone. He replied, “ Ok, it’s a metal detector. I can only allow one of you in and the other has to wait with the kids. I said well I’m trying to add my husband to my account. So he has to come in. He said, ok we close in 13 minutes, I’m not sure we can add him to the account today(I’m not sure why it takes that long.) my husband and I just turned around and left. It should not be this hard to add someone to an account that I’m clearly the holder of and have been for a very long time. Even if it’s protocol, there’s a way to talk to customers that don’t make them feel uncomfortable. As seen from the other comments, this branch needs some training on how to treat customers.
