Ponce Bank, Southern Boulevard - Bronx (NY)

1 /5 Maria: Dear Ponce Bank Team, I’m following up after mistakenly sending an earlier email to the wrong branch location. The issue I’m referring to occurred specifically at your 980 Southern Blvd branch in the Bronx. I visited this location today around 12:30 PM and was surprised to find it completely closed, even though it was during regular business hours. I also attempted to use my bank card to access the ATM vestibule, which is typically available even when the main branch is closed, but the door would not open. Several other customers were outside experiencing the same issue—no access to the bank or the ATM area. This was very inconvenient as I was unable to withdraw money or complete any transactions. I would appreciate an explanation as to why the Southern Blvd branch was unexpectedly closed and why access to the ATM area was not available. Reliable access to banking services is very important, especially during posted hours. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

1 /5 Jay Trappin: Turn the 5 stars into a one so fast after I open a bank account here I tried to have my wife’s open hers here as well after realizing they are racist!!! I open my account with a shelter letter they accept it , fast forward a month later when my wife tried to open an account with the same exact shelter letter all of a Sutton the same lady who open my account wouldn’t accept it for her knowing she’s white and not to many of hers in the area I really feel like they discriminate and came off very very rude for no reason even tho we waited over a hour just for her to get denied, extremely busy wouldn’t come to this branch again and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody else I hope this specific bank close like a lot of them…. We went to another Ponce bank with the same letter and they accepted my wife you know southern blvd location got a lot going on

1 /5 Gabriela Lopez Hernandez: If I could give this bank and their staff members 0 stars I would. The supervisor is rude for no reason. The customer service and energy is disgusting. Please put your money elsewhere. Do not waste your time putting your money in this bank. If you experience fraud, they will not protect you. They will treat you like a “liability” and close your account even though they have no provisions to protect their customers from fraud. This bank is old news. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else!

1 /5 NY Mets: The main teller is good, shes professional. The new kid thats there has this weird, obnoxious attitude, like he doesnt even want to be there. Just throwing post-it notes across his desk, and looking down at the desk, as if he would rather be somewhere else... Asks me if I need help and he looks annoyed Im even there...

4 /5 Magen Phillips-Vargas: I come here to use the ATM never have problems always clean but now Im unable to get in before opening times or if its after its closed due to a new operating thing on the door I was able to slide my card and open it now its different so Im not sure if only bank costumers can get in or if there is a certain way to open the doors but if only bank costumers can get in after hours Im afraid you could loose a little bit of business because atms get used daily even after hours
