I initially chose her office because of how she presents herself — as an attorney with integrity, compassion, and a genuine concern for her clients. Unfortunately, my actual experience was very different. After the referral, I reached out and explained my legal situation. Despite being a listed provider under the Group Legal plan, Ms. Giffords office later stated that they would not operate within the scope of the plan’s covered benefits. Instead, they offered a separate discounted rate outside the plan, essentially declining the referral on the terms that were supposed to be guaranteed. I gave the office ample time to respond to my clarification emails, hoping for resolution, but days went by without any clear answer. When I did receive a response, it was from her assistant, who simply reiterated that the discount had been offered and implied it was now on me to resolve the issue. There was no explanation, no accountability, and no attempt to honor the terms of a plan they voluntarily participate in. This was frustrating and disappointing, especially when youre already dealing with the stress of legal matters. Integrity isnt just a slogan — its shown in how professionals treat their clients, especially when money or convenience is on the line. I wouldn’t recommend this firm to anyone relying on a legal benefit plan or looking for truly client-centered representation. Be aware that despite being listed under the Group Legal plan, this office may not honor those terms when it matters most.
