5 /5 Jacob Damm: I am leaving this same review on other sites just to get the word out, so dont be surprised if you see the same text in a few places! We have now used John twice, first when we purchased our home (in 2022) and again when we sold it (in 2024). In both instances he was wonderful to work with, both as a person and in a professional capacity. Every task was taken care of promptly, and John was also excellent at nudging the other partys team along when they were moving slowly to ensure that the always slow New York real estate process moved along a little bit faster. In the case of when we purchased our home, we had to give John power of attorney as both my partner and I had to be out of the country for work. He handled everything exceptionally well then, making what otherwise would have been a very stressful process as easy as it could have been. In a seemingly small point for people looking to work with John for real estate transactions, he also is a notary, and a lot of our friends have horror stories of the closing going off the rails when the lawyers show up and the notary doesnt (needless to say, covering your bases with all the small things to make your life easier is a big win in NY real estate). We have recommended John to all of our friends in the Cortland area, and honestly, could not recommend him more highly.
