1 /5 John Thor: Does anybody even work there no one answers the phones you get the one nice lady that is at the reception desk shes been there for years but when you try and talk to one of your caseworkers no one calls you back no matter how many times too small of a town too much elbow rubbing too much favoritism and just reading the other comments Im not alone Shannon Ward does not pick up the phone for anything got to love liberal New York

1 /5 B L: It wouldn’t let me leave no stars, so I left one. One person does not know what the other is doing. Every time you speak to someone you will get completely different information accompanied by an “I couldn’t care less” attitude. No one seems to actually care there. It is just another job to these people instead of being a part of something that is supposed to be helpful. Not everyone is lazy and trying to live off the system. Some people genuinely need help through a rough spot and they make it as miserable as possible at Delaware County DSS at 111 Main Street, Delhi, NY. I am 33 weeks pregnant in a high risk pregnancy and I already have two sons. I am a full time college student online but I am unable to work until after my baby is born due to the risk concerned in my pregnancy. When trying to converse and ask questions as to what is needed (after receiving incorrect information which wasted my time as I provided what I was told to and then was informed that it was not what was needed), I get talked over and hung up on. Her supervisor did not care at all about what I had experienced on the phone and I was told that she did nothing wrong. The supervisor did however help with my questions and in directing me to the next step. Hopefully it is accurate information this time. Not for nothing, but you shouldn’t be a social worker if you don’t genuinely care about people and want to help in a kind, caring, and empathetic manner. Also, never in my life have I seen or heard of a supervisor or manager telling the customer or applicant for assistance that the employee did nothing wrong. I think maybe they should record their telephone conversations for instances like this.

1 /5 Bee E: Never answers the phone. never returns calls. im sick and need medicaid but this office doesnt ever open to the public for phone calls? rina never returns calls EVER. supervisors do not answer calls no one ever picks up. how is this for the people paid by the people but they just NEVER EVER WORK. should be shut down or have the entire staff replaced. awful. just awful. theyre gonna kill someone with this blatant disregard for human life.

1 /5 Claire Lovesyou: Amber is extremely rude nasty and unhelpful. She never contacts her so called clients back, and when she does she always has attitude and refuses to take any responsibility for her failed actions. Here is a word of advice if you hate people so much stop working for social services. We know you love all that money and sitting on your cushy chair all day x however people deserve respect. Totally uncalled for, I have filed a compliant against her.

1 /5 Elizabeth Pitt: The cps side of things are snakes and lie though there teeth. They are not nice and will make up anything to make the case look better for them. They dont actually want to help. They really need to put under the microscope by Albany. They are all very shady and should never be trusted. I would always record your encounters with them. They even lie under oath.
