5 /5 ANDREA Burgess: She did excellent on my first case and I wish I had used her for the second. She is to the point and in reality a very strong attorney. If you want a knowledgable attorney on your side that is not easily intimated I would chose Alexandra Burkett.

5 /5 Mindy Fuller: I used Mrs Burkett Twice and have nothing negative to say about her . She did what she said she would. She was professional. My mother used her as well as my sister all of us won our cases . If I ever need another attorney I will use her and I recommend her to anyone I know who needs an attorney. She represented me for a custody case and an adoption. She even lowered her fee to help me. Thank you for being an amazing attorney and looking out for my daughter.

1 /5 Tom: If you read any positive reviews it’s her reviewing her own page After a little digging, I found a very favorable, 5-star review posted over a decade ago by “burkett14527” with the reviewers name hyper-linked directly to her yellow pages business page. If I could give zero stars that’s what she would get. This woman should not be in family court system and she should not be practicing. All she is after is the MONEY and she will do whatever she can to ensure her next payment. She’s not about resolving issues she’s about making more

1 /5 Catherine Goodall: I hired Alexandra, back in "2009" to handle money affairs, after my divorce. I paid upfront, and in "full" to get this done quickly. Its 13/14 years later, and this is still not done. I call often, and never get to speak with her, I have written letters, and ask for her to acknowledge that she has received them, and I get nothing. Very disappointed in how this is being handled. Why is this taking 13/14 years to get done? Was divorced in June "2009". So I guess we can say 14 years. From other reviews I have read, I guess I made the wrong choice, choosing Alexandra Burkett. If you expect something done quickly, use someone else!

1 /5 Paul H.: Very disappointed with Alex. She talks a good game and said all the right things at first to get that retainer but, once she had my money, she dodged calls, waited until the last minute (often the day before) to meet, came to court unprepared, and had a very weak presence in the courtroom. She constantly complained about the other attorney and spent long periods of time explaining what “should” have been done (while getting her rear handed to her in court over and over again). She offered horrible advice, cost me dearly, and stuck me with an enormous final bill. She’s out for no one but herself. Avoid her all all costs - but be happy if she’s representing the other side! ************Editing to add: I was really trying to post a review without revealing too many details of my dissatisfaction, and appearing to air dirty laundry, but the reply to my review has forced me to make this edit. First, I’m shocked that Ms Burkett responded to my critical review of her services within 24 hours when the almost every time in the past my multiple calls to her office went unreturned for two or three weeks. Seems that she cares more about defending herself than defending her clients? Second, yes, my review is my opinion, but it’s very similar to so many others I’ve seen posted, including the feeling of being pressured into settling and her stock reply of “you made that choice yourself”. (I have saved screenshots of the review and the link) Third, yes it’s true that I did retain her in the past, but that was for paperwork to finish a case after the trial ended and after my previous attorney died. There really wasn’t much to it the first time as the trial had ended long before Ms Burkett was retained. The second time I retained her, she tried more than once to take credit for work that the other lawyer had done during the trial. When I corrected her, she said “well, I’m the attorney on record!” That showed me a lot about her. (She also stuck me with an enormous final bill that first time, too, but I foolishly thought that was for work she’d actually done. Fourth, I stated that she had complained about the other attorney. This is not entirely accurate. She complained, at length and on multiple occasions, about *two* of the opposing attorneys (each of the four parties had their own lawyer). Lastly, as for her offer to discuss the bill? She already did that when she sent it to me. She explained all the “work” she did but didn’t charge me for (though somehow that final bill was several times more than any other bill before), she sent ONE bill and, before I could make any payment, she sent it to collections. Update: I understand that she’s upset with my review and, rather than simply go to collections to get her final payment, she’s decided to involve the county bar association in retaliation. Be warned people! Don’t hire this person!
