I consulted with Teresa King regarding a domestic violence and property damage charge of which I did not feel I was guilty. I have little experience with due process so she took ample time to educate me on the nature of the charges, the potential penalties associated with them, what my rights are, and what would need to be proved in order to be found guilty of the things of which I was being accused. She also extended her local experience and expertise dealing with the attorney charging me and the judge to give an idea of what their actions against me might look like. It was a no-cost consultation to me but she was very giving of her time and resources which she seemed more than happy to give so long as it didnt interfere with her paid clients and obligations.
With her counsel I was able to go before the court confidently and enter a plea of not guilty, and to continue not accepting even as I was offered lesser and lesser charges, until ultimately the court chose to dismiss the case altogether.
To have someone listen without judgment and still make me to feel as though I had a voice in the situation was invaluable to me. If I thought my situation warranted legal representation I would have 100% hired her and I would highly recommend Teresa King to anyone in need of legal counsel and local expertise.
