1 /5 Weston Bass: I guess perks for reviews must be a real thing because there is no possible way this company could show an overall 4.8 rating without it. Ive had 4 loans with OMF. 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2024. All have been substantial size loans, and they have all been refinancing to pay off the previous loan plus a bit extra each time. Never got behind on payments more than a day or 2 here and there. Nothing that would cause issues with credit. Heres where it starts to go off the rails. I have received something in the mail almost weekly saying how Im such a valuable customer and how im pre-approved for some amount twice what the current loan is. So I decided to call and use the code and see what I could do. This is where jumping through hoops takes on a whole new meaning....they would tell me what they needed and I would go to the app and upload doc after doc. Then I would be told they were looking it over and would call back. A couple days go by and no call , so I call them back and now im talking to a different person and they want more stuff . This went on for over 3 weeks . All the while im constantly being told its approved and we can close online everything is great. Finally they get my banking info again ready to close and deposit the money and now they decide I need to go to the local branch. Im again assured everything is approved its all on go they just need to verify my identification at the branch and sign the papers there. I contact the branch and nothing had been sent to them and I was told they would look into it. A week went by and I had decided not to worry with it anymore ,and I get a call out of the blue from the branch saying they had my stuff and everything was good just bring my id and come sign the papers. Made an appointment for the next morning at the branch. I arrive they took my id made a copy and said it would be just a minute because another customer was in front of me. They finish up with that customer and walk back to the front and said we are sorry but your loan has been denied. The computer updated and all of a sudden I was denied and they couldnt tell me why . Told me it was corporate, so I called corporate and they said no it was the branch. So neither one would tell me why. Finally corporate said theyd send a letter within the month. A three ring circus would be more organized.
