5 /5 Rob Moore: Kinetra Stewarts review is misleading, and I write to correct same.
I was appointed by the Court to represent her family member, as Public Defender. I ably handled the case, getting them out of jail pre-trial and getting a probation Hold lifted and bond set despite charges involving allegations of assault on police officers with a weapon.
I called or emailed Ms. Stewart, her husband and her mother more than 40 times. This is all very well documented in my file.
Unfortunately, her family member was re-arrested on new alleged charges and she called me to tell me what I needed to do and how I needed to do it. I told her that I have been a lawyer for 22 years and have tried 21 criminal jury trials, many to successful Not Guilty Verdicts--and that I did not need her guidance on what I should do.
I told her that I did not work for her, and that she could make her own calls.
I have represented thousands of clients, the vast majority of whom were very satisfied with my work. There are some, however, who either they or their family have unrealistic expectations or demands.
