1 /5 Tori Vander: So I had an accident back in January and it is now June. I was told they knew nothing until May about how much the policy was for the person who hit us (me and my son).
Then they called beginning of June to tell me the number I should get back, then texted me a different set of numbers the next week, THEN told me a whole new set of numbers when I received the check itself. Yes, they explained all of the leans and holds, and medical bills coming out of it, but the take home number changed every time as well. Its just kept getting lower and lower. I was diagnosed with cervical disk disease and the incident threw my back out and I havent been able to work. I also just had a knee surgery and that plays a big part as well. Were struggling and this accident made my life harder.
And laborde earles took more money from my settlement in lawyer fees, than anything. Not the medical bills or anything. But instead of charging me 35 percent of what Im going to take home after all is paid, they charged me 35 percent of the whole insurance payout.
My payout from insurance was $17,000
I only received $4,666.60 of that.
My LAWYER however who was supposed to be helping me took home $5,200
Life hasnt been easy since the wreck, and laborde earls has stolen what help I could have had.
