1 /5 Miranda Ashton: Not a place for People of Color. I went there trying to get a diamond replaced in my ring. My diamond is lab grown. I was told that they dont do lab grown diamonds and they dont like them either. The associate that dealt with me took my ring to the jeweler. I looked around while I waited for her to return. The associates there looked so disgusted that I was there and looked at me like I was wasting their time being there. The associate came back with my ring and stated "My ring looks cheap and I should not worry that the diamond fell out. Just take this little cheap ring and act like my diamond didnt fall out."
Im pretty sure she would have never said any of those things to a white person. But since Im African American (black), its acceptable to say it to me.
I hope their current customers see how they treat People of Color and stop doing business there. It should not matter what color my skin is and if my diamonds are lab grown or mined diamonds. Also, it shouldnt matter if my ring is 10k, 14k, or sterling silver. I spent my money on it, its valuable to me. My jewelry should not be called "CHEAP" to my face.
