1 /5 HappilyLacking: Will never call you back. Waited 20 weeks for her to file on an issue and got charged for calls I made every week asking for an update. After waiting 20 weeks with NOTHING done, fired and hired a new attorney. She was supposed to handle a simple custody judgement and failed to file within 6 months.the opposing party’s attorney ended up writing the judgement and had it signed just before the 7 month mark from our pre trial date. Judge gave us a few days to request any changes that we wanted in the judgement in case anything didn’t match the transcripts and despite emailing and calling her office nothing was communicated and the judgement was filed with multiple errors that will effect negatively for years. Please don’t waste your time or money.

1 /5 Rob Weems: SCROLL ON BY! DO NOT CHOOSE THIS ATTORNEY! Dawn Mimms was very responsive and caring in the beginning. Once she haa you signed as a client, you go on the back burner. You can place multiple calls and leave messages with no response. Have been waiting 2months for a call back. She haa had my familys case for over a year and we havent moved forward. Contacting the Louisiana Bar Association to file a complaint.

1 /5 Charles Caples: One star; because I dont think zero is an option: An absolutely horrible experience; after agreeing to take over my case from another attorney that became ill, Dawn Mimms did absolutely nothing. The case was extremely time sensitive and each day that it was postponed cost me an additional $100. After six weeks of attempting to contact Miss Mimms, she finally responded to an email and insisted I send her a check for $1500. She promptly cashed the check and again cut off all communication with me. To this day; I still have not heard from her. I had to hire another attorney who resolved my issue in three days. I would never call anyone a liar and a thief; but if you need an honest dependable attorney; my advice is you look elsewhere.
