1 /5 J Dev: This was our 3rd transaction as a seller of real estate property, and this was by far the worst closing experience weve had. Our buyer decided to use Daniels & FLoyd which is nearly 2 hours driving distance from our home, but we didnt mind since this was happening during the COVID-19 pandemic and should have all been conducted remotely. We were notified 2 business days in advance that we had the option to have a notary witness the signing locally and overnight the documents, or we could drive nearly 2 hours and sign in person. We had trouble finding a notary so we decided to drive up there thinking that it would make things easier and that the transaction would be completed that day. We were wrong, instead of using wire transfer, they mailed a check to our mortgage company. They also didnt send any notification to our insurance agent, which other companies have done in the past for us. They were fairly nice and provided a negative pressure room while signing the papers, they just arent as efficient as other title attorneys weve used.
