He originally told me $1500 to fight for custody. And then he said that I needed to file for a Divorce And it would be another thousand dollars so meet not being a lawyer I believed him so it went from 1500 to 2500 1500 to fight for custody and $1000 to file for divorce He had me sign a paper Saying 2500 in total to file for a divorce and fight for custody The first court date my wife did not show up so they kicked it out of court He didn’t even say a word I already gave him $600 Then I had another court date come up December 7 he told me he couldn’t make it In another court date coming up on the 21st Which he told me if he had to go to Lafayette it would be another $2500 He knew we had to go to Lafayette From the very first time we talked Then I called him about the court date he didn’t answer so then I started feeling like this was him just taking advantage of the situation Then I got a phone call just a few minutes ago from him, telling me that I owe Him another $800 And I said, for what He told me he charges $700 just to walk across the street His whole attitude and vibes switched up from the first time we talked so he is trying to charge me $1500 just walking across the street when he literally told me he was going to charge me $1500 to fight for custody For my kids Every time we talk, his switches up and the price always changes And his favorite words to say it’s going to be a little more At this point, I feel, I made a bad decision by even going into the office in the first place but me thinking he was really going to help me and it wasn’t just a money thing And the price wouldn’t keep going up and up and up No motions has been filed. The case was kicked out of court because my wife did not show up And now he’s telling me he’s going to sue me for $2500 Because he tricked me into signing the paper That was supposed to be 2500 in total to fight for custody And file for a divorce I knew it was too good to be true. That was just his way to get his claws into me.
