Lastly, Phil has assisted my clients who have had business legal issues. One such issue was over copyrighted stock photos that a client had used on his website without authorization. The owner was receiving threatening notices from the image copyright holder. Through a series of strategically structured responses, Phil was able to make this problem disappear for my client. 5 /5 Dan Block: I had difficulty finding an attorney in the Rockford area that understood how to stop online attacks from lead generation companies. Phil sent numerous cease and desist letters that were highly effective. These lead generation companies were using Dynamic Keyword Insertion tools from the search engines on pay per click marketing campaigns. What this meant was when people searched for my companys keywords the tools put that exact keyword into the ads. Of course, the search engines shift the liability exposure to the end user so this made it difficult to get any assistance from the search engines. We even tried submitting our registered mark to the search engines so they could exclude our keyword. I am so thankful for what Phil has done to help curb this issue for us. At one point 3 of the 4 displayed ads said they were our company using our name in the ads when in fact they were NOT. We have had to sue companies in federal court because they reneged on our settlements. But, because of Phils initial correspondences and ongoing monitoring efforts we were able to recover multiple 6 figures from these companies stealing our leads. In an effort to mitigate losses we pulled back on our marketing until we could get this lead misdirection practice to stop. At one point we estimate 60-75% of our organic traffic was misdirected. Today all of the illegal pay per click ads have stopped. This was a long process and Phil was there for every step. Thank you Phil!

I originally found Phil when I was in a scramble trying to get help with some DMCA issues. Phil was incredibly responsive, friendly, and helpful... and it was immediately clear that he is an expert in business, e-commerce, and internet law. Ill be honest, Im not a fan of attorneys, and have a strong aversion to "legal stuff". That said, Phil has consistently taken the various stressful items Ive thrown at him, and made the situations and processes incredibly manageable.
