5 /5 Istvan Miko: Nagle & Giese (Lisa Giese, specifically) has been representing me for 6 years in a variety of child custody-related issues as well as litigation brought on by DCFS. She handled trials, negotiations, drafted custody agreements and advised me through a variety of situations. While she is very impressive in trial (won against DCFS), she is also very practical, pragmatic and avoids unnecessary risks for the best outcome of her client. She has been always available to respond to any acute issues. She recommended and engaged excellent consultants that were always helpful in my case (parenting coordinator, expert witnesses, child psychological counselors). She knows and is known by judges she works with and seem to understand their individual logics/ways of thinking and advises according to what may be attainable with each individual judge. Litigation is never cheap but I feel her fees are reasonable and I never felt overcharged for her services. In trial, she is extremely well prepared, learns the case inside and out, makes fluid and very articulate arguments that for the best outcome possible. On a personal level, I found her compassionate, kind, and always patient with me. I highly recommend her for any high-conflict custody battles, as GAL, representation against DCFS — cases she represented me in.
