5 /5 Regina Snyder: Michael is a great attorney. He did my divorce, which was very difficult due to the ex-husbands wealthy family fighting against me. He took them on with grace and knowledge. Since my ex-husband comes from a wealthy family, he went after me for maintenance support because he ran his company into the ground. I didnt want a dime from his wealthy family, but he wanted everything, including to kick me out of my very own house that I worked my entire life to buy. He even paid off a corrupt appraiser and a realtor agent who appraised my home at $100K over the market value. This divorce has nearly cost me my health, but Michael not only stood by me the entire 18 months of my divorce but was very understanding and answered all my panicky calls every time. At the end of the day, he got me what I wanted, and I have since recommended him to my friends, who were also happy with his services. I cannot recommend Michael enough, especially if you are a woman fighting your ex-husband for divorce or child custody. He will do everything the legal system allows him to get you the best outcome. I should have left him this feedback seven years ago. After seeing some of these reviews, I can tell you that they do not describe Michael, his knowledge, and his ability to represent you. You cannot find a more knowledgeable attorney in the area.

5 /5 Allecia Thibeault: Michael is a diligent and extremely knowledgeable attorney. He helped me in a very stressful and hurtful situation. He saw right through dishonesty on the other side and articulated our position perfectly to the judge. Michael will not just tell you what you want to hear to get your money. If he doesn’t agree with you he will tell you, which I find to be very respectable. He is the only attorney I’ve ever retained who fights for what is right. If you are dishonest with him, he will know and you probably won’t like what he has to say to you. He definitely “calls it like it is”. I continue to work with Michael by phone even though my case has been transferred to a county outside of his area. He is the only attorney I trust.

He has been a godsend in what is a very imperfect and unfair judicial world for me and my daughters. He is without question the most talented, well-versed and well-respected attorneys in family law in Illinois. He knowledge of the statutory law and case law is unrivaled and his reputation as a litigator ends up saving his clients an immense amount of money because, quite frankly, other attorneys are intimidated by his skills as a litigator and encyclopedic knowledge of the law. The judges respect his opinion immensely and listen to him. As someone whose father was a high-level US attorney I can recognize talent, compassion and integrity when I see it. If you are a good person, have nothing to hide, and want someone who will be a strong advocate for you, Michael may be a good fit for you. He is a straight shooter in a profession where that is virtually unheard of. If you lack integrity and have something to hide he is not going to lie for you, cover anything up for you, nor do anything unethical for you. There are many other attorneys who would be a better fit and would gladly take your money without a care in the world. If you care about your kids and want to be treated fairly in the court system, then he is worth speaking to.
