GreenState Credit Union - Freeport (IL)

2 /5 Toni White: To reorder checks on the FAQ page it says to go to services, then choose the option: reorder checks. Mine does not have that option!!! Also, I am disappointed with the closure of the Branch on West street, highway 26. Now I have to go over to the west side of town to do in person banking. Not sure why they did this its very inconvenient not only to me but Ive heard others complain about it. When you need to call bank, I never get a live person, either you sit on hold forever or you request a call back, maybe that day or sometimes not at all. I miss being able to speak with someone at Freeport location and not from corporate location out of Iowa or wherever they are located. If it wasnt a hassle to transfer direct deposit to another bank i would have done so by now! Most of the ladies that work in the Freeport location are great, but dealing corporate is making it very hard to stay with them!

1 /5 Natalie Sciutto: Do you guys not answer your phone anymore? I’ve called 3 times back to back on 3/5/25 and then again today 3/6/25 4 times and I don’t get through to anyone. Very frustrating and disappointing. I do not have time to sit on hold for over 30 minutes each call and no one ever picks it up. Very unprofessional.

5 /5 Kathleen Kruse: Everyone in the Freeport branches are always polite and very helpful. I appreciate their good customer service. I like to see familiar faces running good local businesses. The one negative experience I had at the Rockford branch was righted by those in Freeport. I felt valued as a customer again with their resolution.

3 /5 Eric Wellman: This bank is odd! They have a very friendly/amazing staff with a very clean establishment. Once this bank took over...they started charging $2.50 or $3.50 for a monthly statement that was 1 or 2 pages. But, then they will send me a 20 page packet trying to get me to purchase life insurance through them! Wth is that...makes no sense! Stick to the banking side and Ill stick around for now...but not the greatest system in place.
