Erma Ofreneo My home was being affected by mine subsidence and experiencing significant damage. I had been submitting claims with my insurance provider throughout a span of several years to at least have the damage assessed and have a fair determination of whether it was caused by mine subsidence. The insurance provider ignored my claims, did not take them seriously, and the assistance I was provided was lackluster. I sought the help of Marty Haxel and his firm for help on how to handle this matter. He went above and beyond with his service. He helped me navigate the process of obtaining proof from certified professionals, which included a geologist and structural engineer, to correctly attribute the damage to mine subsidence. He guided me on how to overcome the bureaucratic obstructions created by the insurance provider and force them to review my case properly. In the end, his expertise and care helped me reach a settlement with my insurance provider that I was satisfied with. He always made himself available when I had questions. His answers and explanations were concise and thoughtful. A problem that seemed impossible and unfair was made manageable and much easier to deal with. Josh Burrell I’m not the guy to normally leave reviews but I absolutely needed to on this one! I had the pleasure of Kathryn (Kate) Baker representing me. From the moment I reached out, after speaking to multiple attorneys, she was the most down to earth person I spoke to. Dealing with family court from my understanding is a nightmare in its self but from my experience I couldn’t have asked for a better one. Day or night she was available, never got frustrated with me, and even was available when she contracted COVID-19 (Get well soon)!!! Look plain and simple if you need someone reasonable, attentive, and knowledgeable I highly suggest you AT LEAST give her a call. You don’t need to take my word for it you’ll see for yourself!!! Dave Brannstrom Did his job as intended, but very lacking in the communication department. Asked several times to not mail paperwork as I wanted to pick it up, but it was mailed every time. For the last court date, I was never informed that it was occurring and merely (through the mail again) was given the documents. No explanation, just paperwork. Additionally, was vague with what information was needed which meant several “drafts” were needed, costing several extra hundred to a thousand dollars. Very friendly guy, but the small things added up to additional costs and mental strain during one of the most difficult situations of my life.
