2 /5 Michelle Schultz: UPDATE as bank has gotten worse:
After a few issues, Im now somewhat shopping for a new business bank. Theyve increasingly come up with new rules that are simply a hindrance. No one thing is a big deal, but its a culmination of problems.
*They no longer want me to use the drive-thru because I deposit a lot of cash and told me "it holds up the line". Honestly, I cant tell if this is a Truist problem or an specific employee problem, since the same employee who told me this also told my husband she didnt want to help him inside either. The employee initially said she couldnt help him because she was helping someone who went to the bathroom. However, people came up behind him, so she helped them. Also, coming inside will "hold up the line" inside as well so this rule makes no sense. So whose rule is that?
* They are just coming up with dumb rules like sign checks made out to the company - and are being deposited into the company account. Not a big deal, but why?
*The charges for depositing cash are getting ridiculous. Maybe all banks do this, I"m not sure. But Im investigating to find out.
* The problem of not being able to tell who a charge is coming from is ongoing. It may be legitimate. The bank does not make it easy to find out who its from. They will give you information on which bank it went to only.

As a business owner, this bank has been great. We greatly appreciate them.
The only negative i can think of (and it may be like this at all banks), is that sometimes its not clear who charges are from on registry. For example, we may do business with a credit card company we know as "Blue" and charges come from a name called "Alpha". When i ask the bank about it, they can only tell me the bank from which the charges went to and they tell me i have to call them.
