Miranda Ponder My husband received a letter dismissing his case and the state attempted to reopen it and charge him. Which was double jeopardy. We had a trash public defender who was obviously working with the state to railroad my husband. We hired Derek Law from Sexton & Moody. He got right on the case and was very knowledgeable about the laws. From the day he took the case, my husband did not have to say another word in court. He handled it. Our court date came and he presented the case and explained why the state could not charge him for a case that was already dismissed. The state tried to pull up some BS law and Derek shut it down. Mike Kernea Mr. Jenkins handled a floodway issue that came up when my building burnt in 2016. I went to the county to get a building permit to start rebuilding and I was told that I was in the floodway. After working with the county for a year I could not get the county to listen to anything I said about a mistake FEMA made back in 1984. Mr. Jenkins got with the county attorney and finally got the matter resolved. Mr. Jenkins got the job done and we are starting to rebuild.
