1 /5 Ross Emily (BrysonF&F): Extremely disappointed with the legal services provided by Matthew Shiner. We hired him in 2012 to draft a short-term lease-purchase agreement for our home. The agreement was poorly written with no end date, which later allowed the tenant to sue us despite Mr. Shiner’s repeated assurances that the contract was void. He refinanced our home in 2020 in direct violation of the terms HE originally wrote. We were left facing a lawsuit, mounting legal fees, and long-term financial harm. Local attorneys refused to act against him due to personal ties, leaving us without recourse. What was meant to be a temporary arrangement has cost us over a decade of stress and extreme financial damage. He admitted he was wrong and instead of trying to correct his mistake, he told us we’d have to file a malpractice lawsuit against him which would have cost us even more money.
