5 /5 J. Bond: Ms Winterberger took on the FL side of one of my Texas cases. This was a complex, interstate family law matter involving custody, visitation, divorce, and most especially jurisdiction between two states. The other side had filed a bunch of emergency pleadings in FL to try to stop what was legally proper in Texas. I encouraged my client to find local council because she now had two hearings going in two different states. Make no mistake, this stuff is higher-level, complicated stuff that many family law attorneys (and judges) do not understand, misinterpret, and in some cases just plain butcher. This stuff is dynamic, highly fact-intensive, and involves a proper reading of both state and federal statutes. Ms. Susan and I had never spoken, but within a day or so she had filed not only responsive pleadings, but the kind of well thought out documents that clearly conveyed to the court that she not only understood the matter before her, but also that she was not going to be intimidated or misled by opposing council (or the judge). In short, as soon as I read what she had filed, I breathed a huge sigh of relief that my client was in excellent hands. Her and her staff understood what was before them and quickly produced the kind of targeted, appropriate munitions that were required to reduce opposing councils efforts to rubble. After reading the magistrates ruling, it was very clear that Ms. Susan was persuasive and on-point in her presentation. As someone who has practiced for over a decade in family law and who has an Avvo rating of nearly "10", I highly recommend her and her office to anyone seeking effective representation in a complex family law matter. I was relieved and impressed that my client was in such good hands, and I thank her for her effective work and wise council to me regarding how we should cooperate to assure a positive outcome for our client,.
