He explained everything and estimated the taxes Id have to pay long before the need to file came around. I just got a notice from the IRS, and out of over $32,000 I owed in taxes this year, be was less than $50 off. Well worth what I paid him. Everyone I dealt with there was very helpful. Since Im from out of town (250 miles away), I thought it might be more complicated than it turned out to be.
