However, my luck ran out with Hurricane Helene, which flooded my vehicle with 5 feet of salt water, totaling it. The day after Helene passed our area, I called Mike Martins office, and Mel Perez started a claim on my behalf. State Farm texted and emailed me that same day, informing me that they would start working on my claim. Their claim team reached out a couple of days later with towing information, asking if I needed a rental car, as per my policy, and arranged it with a location closest to me. My vehicle was towed away a few days before Hurricane Milton hit.
Making a long story short, I can not say enough about Mike Martins agency, especially Mel Perez, who has been working all my home, auto, insurance policies since 2020, after moving into the area. In times of need, this is what you expect an agency to do for you, even though they themselves suffered through 2 hurricanes. As I type this, State Farm has prepared my settlement package, and Im elated.
