2 /5 Jaimie Kaylyn: This is not the review I want to make, but my family has been very hurt by Mr. Russell McCormick. We hired Mr. McCormick, after he was recommended from our realtor. November 15th 2024 myself, my 4 year old daughter, and my service dog was shot by JSO. We hired McCormick during our Thanksgiving break. At first I felt confident he was the man for the job as he had came recommended by someone I trusted. She stated him and her husband were friends and that he was familiar with fighting JSO. For our case we asked for the body worn camera footage to help our case and show the community exactly what happened, since JSO was dishonest with the details. We requested in November as he stated he would as well. We found out later he didn’t even request it till January 8th 2025 I checked in with Russell once or twice a month just seeing if there was updates and a lot of times he never responded or he had no answers for me. He eventually stated he was not going to be able to get the video footage from JSO and we should try another lawyer. He stated, “I have and continue to run into the same issues/delay regarding the bodycam. I despise dealing with the City and JSO in civil cases for this reason” We obtained a new lawyer and learned that Russel had been dishonest with us and had had the opportunity to purchase the video from public records and he did not tell us this at all. He was not helpful in anyway and was dishonest to our family. Our family has suffered so much from 3 of us being shot by JSO and this just added salt to our wounds. We wasted 6 months of our time to someone who we felt was never interested in helping this family get justice. We now have to start completely over with the process. We felt very betrayed and hurt from his actions. I would not recommend Russell to anyone due to his lack of integrity and commitment.

First time having to deal with this type of experience with my loved one but he made it easier for us so I understood the process and all. Thanks again Russell!!!
