1 /5 An D: Heed the warnings of all the others who say shes unethical and unprofessional. Many years later, I still have a bad taste in my mouth and fully regret hiring Autumn Blackledge. I do not recommend that you trust this firm with handling your familys legal matters, ESPECIALLY if children are involved. Based on the experiences of myself and multiple others, youll likely end up paying alimony and/or child support to your ex due to her inattention to the most important details of your case, not to mention the revolving door of paralegals that will handle your information. At my initial consultation, I mentioned that I wasnt concerned about receiving child support from my ex, I was only seeking additional time sharing. She twisted my words during mediation when the mediator was with the other party, saying shed written it down in her case notes that I wasnt worried about PAYING child support. When negotiations came to a standstill, I said I didnt agree to what was outlined and would rather move forward with the judge. I felt intimidated into signing the agreement anyway because she threatened to write a "strongly-worded letter" advising against doing so, essentially refusing to represent me in front of the judge. In hindsight, there was an obvious power imbalance in that moment and she had no issue establishing her dominance in the situation just to get it over with. This tracks with reviews from others stating that if you challenge anything she says or correct any of her misinterpreted facts of your case, she immediately threatens to withdraw from your case. Its also worth mentioning that at one time she implemented a monthly $140 "file maintenance fee" on top of the annual maintenance fee outlined in the retainer agreement, which I personally believe is a move to price clients out once she cant be bothered to deal with your case anymore. Ultimately, I paid an upwards of $15,000 over two years and did not accomplish anything with my case that I initially set out to. I agree with others who say it seems like she works in support of the opposing party; she was actively texting with the opposing attorney during our mediation. Call every other family law firm in town (and surrounding areas if needed) before you consider giving this firm a dime!
