Carl Victor Over the years, I have handled our investments, selecting investments in companies that I have dealt with, knowing that we would receive stock splits and have significant gains. Unfortunately, that was many years ago and over our 50 years of investing we built, to our needs, a portfolio which was too susceptible to market fluctuations. Some years ago, we met Matt who reorganized our portfolio to account for those variances in the market and we are exceptionally satisfied with his outstanding understanding of how our investments are affected by market performance and taxes. Surprisingly, this year we had a tax return, not much, but better than giving the Fed our money. Jenn Sineath I recently needed to open an estate account. After trying several banks in Winter Haven and Bartow, I went to South State Bank in Bartow (Winter Haven branch was useless). I had the pleasure of meeting Maria. She was wonderful! We went through all the documents I had, she let me know what I still needed, scanned what she could and waited until I was able to get the rest of the items. Once I was able to get them and give them to her, she opened the account. It was so easy working with her and she did it all with a smile and kindness. Thank you Maria!
