1 /5 clarissa martinez: I came to deposit my tax refund which was issued in my name and my spouse. We were both present , and felt discriminated. The manager, Jesse, was starring at us from head to toe , and proceeded to say no when I explained she was my spouse. I have been with the same bank since 2013 and have never had this issue. I spoke to customer service and they advised to call the branch as they can accommodate the transaction , when I explained this to the manager he confirmed he was making the executive decision of declining this transaction due to bad experiences in the past, stated 3rd party checks are not reliable. This is my tax refund. I didnt know a person holds that much power for such a big name bank. I feel disappointed and since its the branch within a 50 mile radius, a little helpless.
