1 /5 Pooya: I hired James L. Arrasmith after getting scammed out of $27,000 in a real estate deal. When I first contacted him, he confidently told me this would be an easy win and that they could definitely help me get my money back. Based on those promises, I trusted him and moved forward. Fast forward I spent nearly $37,000 with them, and we never even took the case to court. All they did was keep asking for more money while feeding me false hope. Looking back, it’s clear this was nothing but a scam disguised as legal help. Any logical person knows it doesn’t make sense to keep spending more money just trying to recover less. They told me from the start it would be simple and easy. That was a lie. I honestly hope this firm goes out of business and that James L. Arrasmith gets his law license taken away. I’ll never forget how I was taken advantage of through this pathetic excuse of a law practice. If you’re reading this, stay far away.

1 /5 karen kenny: We have been working with James arrasmith since Feb 2025. We do not receive case updates unless we send several emails. However they have no problem billing us, without sending invoices with the the breakdown of services ( which is required by the state of California) . Ive emailed several times letting them know i will not pay with out updates and account breakdowns. At this point we have spent more then the cost of the roof we had to replace. Very unprofessional. Also I cross referenced some of the people that wrote 5 star reviews. Some are employees current and past. Also there are been reviews with proof of asking for a good review in exchange for monies refunded. They are located on yelp. I feel like an idiot for believing this attorney would help my mom. One photo is a yelp review from an employee, the other is his office on sunrise Blvd.

1 /5 Eva Aguilera: Beware of The Law Offices of James L. Arrasmith I hired this firm to represent me in an arbitration case against Kaiser for a permanent heart injury. I paid a $5,000 retainer, which was rapidly consumed, and then I was billed until charges exceeded $10,400. Despite these payments, the firm never obtained a medical expert, never represented me in arbitration, and provided no evidence of meaningful work performed—only invoices. They mishandled my case by choosing only one arbitrator when my Kaiser arbitration required a panel of three. This fundamental error alone severely damaged my case, stripping me of the fair and balanced review I was entitled to. On top of that, they filed unauthorized actions and produced nothing that advanced my claim. In my opinion, they clearly had no idea how to represent someone in arbitration and instead used people who are not lawyers to do all the work. These individuals seemed to know nothing about the process and failed to provide any competent representation. James L. Arrasmith advertises himself as specializing in a wide range of areas of law—landlord and tenant law, eviction law, personal injury, family law, estate planning, immigration, and many others—but in my experience, he gives the impression of not knowing anything at all. Everything I saw showed unprofessionalism and substandard work. I also believe much of what was provided to me was generated using ChatGPT, rather than true legal expertise. In my opinion, none of them, lawyers included, acted professionally. Their behavior gives me a strong impression of fraud. I have made a police report and am disputing the charges with my bank in order to seek a refund. Despite all this, the firm continues to demand an additional $3,135 for their baseless invoices. Adding to the concern, it appears to me that all of the five-star reviews online are manipulated, while the overwhelming majority of authentic reviews are one-star accounts from clients reporting the same pattern: excessive billing, large retainers, no actual representation, and hostile communication once services are questioned. My personal experience matches that pattern. In my opinion, consumers should exercise extreme caution before hiring this firm.
