Professionally, I worked for a criminal defense law firm and referred a lot of our client to Ian when they needed help with civil matters; thus we shared a lot of clients. All of our mutual clients had positive feedback about Ian and his work. Through my communication with him, I easily noticed that he is professional, efficient, and cares for his clients. Personally, I had a Power of Attorney matter regarding my grandma that my family needed help with. I scheduled a consultation with Ian; scheduling was an easy process as he responds quickly via email. The consultation was great. He took the time to listen to our situation and discuss our options with us in plain English. He offered several solutions for our situation including free options we could do ourself, and options that included hiring his firm. It was really difficult to find a family law lawyer for my mother because I couldnt find someone that I could truly trust. However, since the day that I met Ian, Ive been impressed by his character, diligence and integrity, traits that are really difficult to find in an attorney. He was able to give us all the information we needed to properly write out an operating agreement, advice us on important issues, and set us up right from the very beginning. He told us what permits we needed, how to obtain them in the right way, how much they cost and how to dodge lines in city hall/over pay for certain permits, and was able to do a lot of it for us (but gave the option for us to do it ourselves if we wanted).
