When I first hired Avi, he came across as a great attorney. I retained him on a limited scope to represent me, and after our initial court appearance (which we unfortunately didn’t win), I spoke with him about continuing to represent me moving forward. He agreed and said we would speak the following Monday so he could begin working on and filing the necessary motions by Wednesday.
We communicated both by phone and email. In his email, he outlined the work he would do and the estimated hours it would take. I waited for an invoice or any follow-up—nothing. No email, no invoice, no update. I gave it a few days, thinking he might be busy, but still heard nothing. I followed up several times by phone and email with no response.
The following week, I had someone else call him. He actually picked up and gave a vague answer about when he would get back to me—but again, nothing came. At first, I assumed he might be overwhelmed with personal matters, but in the end, the complete lack of communication and disregard for professional follow-through was incredibly disappointing. This is not how a professional should handle clients or commitments.
My Opinion, just look around before deiciding on Avi.
