Whelan Financial - Fresno

Lindy Adolph My husband and I have utilized the services of Portia White at Whelan Financial for over a decade. We deeply value the work that Portia does for us and for the relationship that we have with her! Portia developed our retirement plan, with our input. She has provided us with so much information and education related to our finances. We completely trust her, and the entire Whelan team, which is a great source of comfort! We highly recommend Whelan Financial, without reservation!

Mason Street Wealth Management - Fresno

Lauren Stewart We had an exceptional experience working with Sean Mason and his office staff! From the start, he was incredibly knowledgeable, guiding us through the complexities of managing our finances and helping us set up college savings accounts for our children. He explained everything in a straightforward, easy-to-understand way while still providing all the information we needed to make informed decisions. What really stood out was his honesty and transparency—there were no surprises, just clear advice tailored to our family’s goals. We now feel confident about our financial future, thanks to his thoughtful planning and guidance. If you’re looking for someone who is both professional and personable, we highly recommend Sean Mason!

California State Mining & Mineral Museum - Mariposa

Andrea K Wonderful little museum showcasing the history of California mining and abundance of mineral deposits of the state. $4 in November 2023 is well worth this quick stop to stretch your legs and expand your brain. Kids under 12 go in for free. Located within the Mariposa Fairegrounds, there is ample parking right outside the main gate. There are bathrooms inside and outside the museum. NO photography allowed. The mineral collection here is quite impressive and includes some donated items from around the globe. The highlight comes from a gold rush Era find. A GORGEOUS looking gold nugget is kept in their vault. It was never smelted due to its beautiful shape. You can also explore a 175 ft long replica of a mineshaft. It is dark, damp, and a bit musky in there, so dont go if you suffer from claustrophobia. It does not get to a point where you need to duck or squeeze through. I am 510 and had no issues.
