We were happy with our current policies but knew that he was recommended through financial peace University so we thought we would look into it and compare quotes. istvankm This bank does not help the poor. After my wedding and starting nursing school, I couldnt keep up with maintaining $3,000 in my savings account. Therefore, the bank was charging me $15 monthly "maintenance" fees. Now that Im trying to close my accounts with them, they wont let me leave! I have to zero out my accounts (take all my $$ out) and then the only way I can close my accounts is to call the company number (1-800). But they dont let you close for a few days. Probably because they know you still have automatic payments occurring and they want to make sure your account (with $0) is charged so they can squeeze more money out of you with overdraft fees! Its a going away present for BOA! It is definitely a time for a change! If you are tired of losing $$ from BOA, get out of there ASAP! Go to a bank that isnt as complicated and doesnt charge monthly fees! I am personally going to Golden 1 for their free checking. Cant wait to finally rid myself of BOA if they ever let me go!
