1 /5 Jean-Marc Coussinat: This should be a zero. I recently applied for a loan and was pre-qualified online. There was nothing set in stone as offers were contingent on further with documents uploaded, etc. I got a call today, and I was declined. That wasnt the issue. The issue is that they ran a hard check credit review without my permission on Friday. I was unaware as I thought Id still be able to talk to someone and give permission after reviewing loan options. This Branch/Company is not upfront about their practices, and I will share my experience. Beware.

1 /5 Berj Fustukjian: I guess they think they’re Wells Fargo or a major bank cause criteria is the same. I inquired and literally it was the same as a bank or credit union. Get it together you are a SUBPRIME lender, not A paper. The attitude about it too was really something. Do not go to them cause if you qualify w them, you’ll qualify w an A paper lender such as a bank or credit union w much lower rate. Self employed? Do NOT bother. Thank you one main.

1 /5 Natalie Romero: They are not professional when they call. They will scream at you and hang up the phone! When the client wants to do an arrangement they dont help to the clients convenience. They want to do what they want! They dont help. Especially this branch in walnut creek. There goes her day with her helpless attitude. Dont call me if your not going to help or if your going to come with your attitude and especially if your not my branch.

1 /5 Steve AWH: I was preapproved via a Lending Tree request for several loan options with this place. Selected one and did a lengthy phone screening and was appved by One Main. I was told to drop by their offices the next day to complete the process and this is where the entire experience went awry. I get to their office and one employee is sitting over a barf bucket - great first impression. Then the person assigned to finish the paperwork tells me the company started this new program where they pre approve you via phone only to have you show up and actually you aren’t approved because they made a mistake in the phone screen. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. So many other legit options. I also complained to lending tree as this place is a scam. I withdrew my application and this company sends me a form letter telling me they rejected me. Stay away. STAY. VERY. FAR. AWAY. Class Action suit in the making and I will be leading it.

3 /5 Deirdre Jones: I applied for a small loan one morning, didnt find out if I was approved or not until later the following morning. It was supposed to be a quick process. After they pulled my credit, they realized that GI Bill housing allowance doesnt count as guaranteed income. Why they couldnt tell me that before pulling my credit upsets me a little, otherwise I wouldnt have applied and hurt my credit. What job is guaranteed anyway? Sure I might get a low GPA and have to pay it back, but someone on a job can make a simple mistake and get fired. It makes no sense to me and I wasted so much time. I guess this will help anyone else in my position. The staff were pretty friendly overall despite the flawed policies.
