My first meeting with Mr. Gray calmed me down and made me feel extremely secure in my choice for an attorney. Over time, I found Thomas to be hard working, intelligent and very knowledgeable of the law. More importantly, I was treated with tremendous respect. Throughout this process, Thomas always kept me informed of the status of my case, and emails or phone calls were always returned the same day. Ultimately, and most importantly, Thomas came through above and beyond anything I could have ever imagined. I was ultimately awarded the maximum amount of liability of the insurance policy of the opposing party. I am writing this review for only one reason. Cyndy Furze Ms. Kemp is a remarkable, highly competent attorney. She has a sharp vision and was able to articulate my rather complex and highly combative case to the judge clearly, concisely, and calmly. She is familiar with the family law court in Santa Cruz County. She is supportive, kind, and calm, even in full-battle mode. This helped me to weather a case that (due to the opposing attorney) dragged on far longer than it should have. She does not waste any time, is transparent with her billing, and is worth every penny spent. Additionally, she brought a sense of social justice and personal connection to the work. Roni Noble Charles Leoni started out as an estate planning attorney for my in laws. He represented my now x husband in our divorce process. To me, Charles Leoni has never once showed any interest or concern in the wellbeing of our 3 children. Despite a just final divorce decree, Leoni continues to represent my x in our family law matters. I think the term is called protracted litigation. Leoni has not cooperated, nor has my x complied with (many) court orders. Leoni will stretch, through delays, continuances, broken agreements etc. a simple legal matter- as he has done with our case. Since I am unrepresented I believe it’s easier for Leoni to take advantage of the judicial system to “drag me through it”, and since he established the estate planning for my x ‘s family, he knows where the money is and how he can continue to collect from my x. Leoni has (verbally) attacked me in the courtroom before the judge as well as called me names in the hallways during a meet and confer more than once. He has served me several times with matters that could have been resolved with a discussion (not needing a court hearing!) and now, I have been warned, by his attorneys, that Leoni plans to file a personal lawsuit against me, (while still representing my X in contested child support matters). Charles Leoni is the foulest attorney I have ever been in contact with.
